Question about front springs Scantech vs OEM vs other Posted by Notnoel [Email] (#23) [Profile/Gallery] (more from Notnoel) on Thu, 13 Oct 2011 06:17:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I run 16 inch aeros on my 1990 vert. that has 200,000 miles on it. I run 16 inch aero wheels with 205/50/16 tires and have done the axle relocation mod. I have fairly new Bilstein Touring shocks (three years old).
I'd been having a lot of trouble with the rear sagging and having the tires touch the fender when going over speed humps and dips in the road etc, especially with passengers in the rear. So last weekend I put on some cargo springs and that has vastly improved the ride and eliminated bottoming out on the rear.
I'd like to refresh the front springs now, so here's the question what are peoples experience with the Scantech springs? Yhey are about half the price of the OEMs. I don't want to lower my car at all, but want something a bit stiffer.
Any feedback would be appreciated, particularly if there are other sources that offer something a bit more performance oriented without lowering the profile. TIA.
