I will get a picture later but in the meantime, it is the big knob that reclines the seat. The knob is held to a shaft by a metal disc that engages a groove on the metal shaft. That disc looks to me like the only way to remove it is to destroy it.
But in better news, after who knows how long my '86 turbo was left in the PO garage, I finally got it back on the road tonight. Ran about 20 miles. New rack didn't leak. But the new valve cover gasket is leaking at rear pass side. And oh boy, the lifters are still ticking away. Hope they expand one day...
