Figured it out after a week sitting and thinking. All vacuum hoses were good, recent spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, rebuilt dizzy, recent radiator and all hoses, recent new K&N cone filter, O2 sensor, battery, many other new parts.
Tried swapping AMM, ECU, AIC, and unplugged and plugged back in O2 sensor. Nothing worked. Tried all the simple stuff that I could think of. Let it sit a while and thought about it. Then came back and tried moving the distributor plug around - it is a bit loose. Unplugged it and plugged it back in and repositioned it. Car started rough, but ran. CEL stayed on. Drove it for 10 minutes, still CEL on. Came back and tried checking every plug in the engine - fuel injector plugs, grounds, sensors, ignition amplifier, everything that I could find to unplug and plug back in, i tried. Finally checked the blue plug between fuel injectors on the intake manifold ( i think it's a coolant temp sensor). The car was running still when i pushed that in. As soon as I did it, the idle evened out and the CEL went out. She's been fine since.
