"NEW" calipers E-brake Sticking: Solution? Posted by ZAAB [Email] (#685) [Profile/Gallery] (more from ZAAB) on Tue, 8 Nov 2011 08:06:50 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Hi All:
92 900T, ~200K.
I replaced my rear calipers 5 years ago with Eeuroparts rebuilt calipers.
When replacing the pads and rotors last month, The calipers were seized up, and could not compress them (tried a vice, C-clamp so it could rotate, etc...No)...also, one lever for the e-brake was frozen...
So I bought a 'new' set of calipers (easier than fighting with them, 82 bucks each),
And already, No salt or winter yet, the e-brake levers are sticking.
What is the solution to this? DO I really have to get a junkyard set off of a late 90's 9000 to have a chance of OE quality? IS there a favorite Lube that people have used?
And yes, I have set the pin correctly so that the lever doesn't pull too far.
Thanks
Z
