It's a mystery. You only need seven pins and that includes one for the auto down, just like the switch you took out. You can open up the OEM switches, take them all apart, clean and re-assemble them, I do it whenever mine get sticky. Just gently spread the case with a small blade or probe and the rocker will come out along with the contact bars and springs. Maybe the MTC switch will also come apart and then you can identify the purpose of the extra pin but you probably won't be able to return it if it shows evidence of having been disassembled and re-assembled.
