little tip Posted by vvack0matic [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: pr side,, I'm in the wrong business, poop deck pappy ![]() |
the used drivers they are taking about are your current drivers.
currently they are spinning in the forward direction when driving forward this is where they take all the abuse, but very rarely they spin in the reverse direction. so what will happen is your passenger driver will be removed and installed on the driver-side and your driver-side will be installed on your passenger-side, now all the wear you had on the drivers while rolling in revers is now on the forward motion and the damage driver that was rolling forward is now on the reverse side. more than likely you will never feel the damages drivers rolling in reverse because driving backwards is normally done slow.
so the used parts are your current parts. personally i never did the flip flop on drivers but seeing the prices now days I'm just might try it.
in the end if you opt. for the used driver option just know those parts listed on the bill were yours. ((perhaps ignorance is bliss in some ways)) maybe i should have kept this to myself. however if only labor is listed on your final bill you know you got yourself a good Indy
by the way everything i know about anything, all credit goes to Cmyles, told me everything back in the day :)
