i'm thinking engine position relative to the shift rod is the main issue. Since the shift mechanism is the same between solid and hydraulic the position of the engine should be the same with either mount setup. I have the driver's side brackets too but the car isn't nice enough to go thru that hell in order to match both sides. I'd be interested to see if the arch is pre-drilled for both mounts.
