t,
you've got EZK system, right? So in this system it is the EZK ECU which drives ignition across the cylinders. Well, it drives the timing and dizzy supplies the spark from ignition coil onto each spark plug.
Something is wrong with your #3 cylinder:
- compression ratio (damaged piston, rings, valves)
- spark plug
- spark plug wire
This can also be the knock sensor, but it's less probable since EZK listens to knock at each cylinder and you have found out that it's only #3 which gives you the troubles.
So what's up with compression figures for the 3rd cylinder?
Next bits to check:
- distributor rotor and cap (especially that tab on the cap which goes for #3 cylinder spark wire)
- spark plugs
- spark plug wires
- distributor shaft radial play
Good luck,
Zig
P.S.
Once again: in EZK system distributor only distributes the spark across the cylinders, it doesn't run the timing which is the function of EZK ECU. So do not twist your dizzy and keep it set to original position.
