If the radio just says "CODE" and will not reset, you need to leave the car "ON" for an hour, not running necessarily, but fully in the ON position.
Then press that strange combination of BAND and volume, or whatever it is (SEARCH this board for that combo of buttons) and it should reset to allow you to enter the code.
Usually the code is written on the bottom of the deck (gotta pull it out) or in the manual, or stop by a SAAB dealer.
IF you're thinking about retro-fitting an Ipod thing, don't. Its just so much better to install an aftermarket radio, and cheaper too for better quality. with a USB in the front, with MP3 capabilities, etc etc etc. I get it if you're totally trailer queen stock is your goal, but if it isn't , DONT fix that 20+ year old radio. then you'll have a DIN for gauges, coffee mug holder, or just blank.
