bleeding makes all the difference. In fact, i i can now get a clutch most of the way there just with that method. Always like to hook up my modified res cap with about 15psi from a tank-works very well with both the clutch and the brakes! BTW, even with that tool, my standard procedure is:
Pressure bleed with 15psi (from res) until no bubbles.
Wait a few minutes, then 50quick pumps to pedal (usually start to get something)
Quick extra bleed after a few minutes,
As soon as it is possible to get reverse without grinding, i drive it. That finishes it off (i think the vibrations may make a difference in freeing up the last little bubbles).
