Jeez, glad if my guess turned out to be it.
A suggestion to you: You might want to invest in a brand-new Saab steel key, cut to match the key code, by a dealer, if there are any still operating near you.
They can still look up the factory key code from the VIN number and may still have the punch tool and the correct steel blank keys.
If dealer won't or can't or no dealer nearby, there are some who will do this for you and mail you the key.
It can make a world of difference in lock behavior, and also, being of steel, resists the twisting off in the ignition that happens sometimes, more often to those with brass copy keys.
