I recently rebuilt the ECU harness in my 85 900T. The blue/red wire ends up at the fuel injectors (along with a green/red wire). I say this sitting at my computer first thing in a.m., with my Bentleys and Saab manual in my garage. I assume you are referring to the blue/red that enters the ECU loom, passes through passenger fender well, past the P/S reservior, and into engine bay? I can tell you that my FI wiring was falling apart at the injectors...insulation exposed...how it ever ran before I started that project is beyond me. I do believe sparking means short....whatever it is, not good. If your car is not a daily driver, repairing the ecu harness is not a bad idea.
