I understand needing an immediate fix, being us Saab drivers demand our car be running all the time and ever achieve then to be running in perfect order all the time,.. how ever this sounds like one of them immediate fixes and not so much perfect fix,..
so for the immediate fix,.. run to the auto parts store and pick up some exhaust flex tube you will be able to mold it, crush it, bend it, to what ever position you need then bolt it down this c-clamps and it will hold,. like a band ade until you figure out what you want to do,. the bandage will hold for a year or so. In that time you should be able to find a used cat. off e-bay or buy a new one.
Attach the flex to the your cat and to the rest of the exhaust pipe if possible, if not remove your cat and run flex. from pipe to pipe.
