My 1984 Saab uses Pozidriv or sometimes spelled Pozidrive screws instead of Phillips Heads. The difference is the Pozidriv has 4 additional 45 degree cuts between the main cross cuts. Look carefully at a Pozidriv screw head and you can see the cuts. The main cross cut is slightly shallower. The Pozidriv is supposed to be an improvement over the Phillips head in that more pressure can be used to remove the screw without damaging the screw head. Phillips heads screwdrivers can be used on a pozidrive screw but if too much pressure is applied, the screw head can be damaged. Once this happens, the Pozidriv screwdriver will no longer work well. The same thing can happen if a Pozidriv screwdriver is used on a Phillips head screwdriver. I have a #1 and #2 Pozidriv which works in all appications on my Saab. Also works on earlier Saab models which also use the Pozidriv screws
