The issue has been very hit or miss. This afternoon it would not start, and my wife was around to help, so here is what I found: Battery voltage with no key is 12.5 v. Battery voltage with key on is 12.0 volts. Battery voltage while attempting to start is 11.9 volts. When attempting to start, the starter engages and the engine turns over. While the engine is cranking, there is a loud clicking noise. Pulled a couple of plugs and found that the clicking noise corresponded to the firing of the #1 plug. Had spark while clicking was occuring. Had spark on the other three plugs. Spark did not seem to be as hot as I had expected. After about four or five attempts to start the engine, the clicking stopped and the engine gasped slghtly as it attempted to start (a couple of plugs were still out). I installed the plugs and the engine started right up, although it was a little rough; reeked of gas. Let it idle for a minute or two, shut it off for a minute or two, started it up, and it ran fine. Any ideas on the clicking in relation to the #1 plug? I had checked the connection of the blue wire on the front of the transmission. It was clean and snug.
