Update:Took the caliper apart and what I found was that under the piston was pieces of a circlip.I suspect that was the reason the piston would not fully retract,after removing said pieces the piston would fully seat but the adjustment screw for the E brake is indeed stripped and the E brake function of the caliper is INOP.I was able to get a replacement caliper this afternoon from foriegn autoparts.Thank you for your help.
