Getting there. I am now about 3 weeks out from the surgery and walking about a mile a day. The hardware count in my back is now up to twenty 50mm screws (6 new ones). Overall, not as bad as the surgery 3 years ago, but it still sucks. Since this fusion is up in my thoracic, my ribs hurt; hadn't expected that! Most of the nerve damage has reversed itself, but toes are still numb and walking still feels weird. I start Physical therapy on friday.
This week I cut my percocet dosage in half so I can start making some progress towards being able to drive again. I miss driving the Saab; can't wait to finish kicking the narcotics so I can get on the road again. Sat in the car in the garage and let it idle for a few minutes just to hear the burble and keep her juices flowing.
