Interestingly -- some of you may not like this -- I used a "Re-Nu" product that was a micro scratch remover and also "Goof-off" which is a petroleum product to get the shine. I knew there was pine tar and other goobers on the paint so I went in heavy. The goofoff worked really well if you worked it and worked it on pine tar and even on micro scratch areas. It seemed to eat a micron or two of paint such that it took out micro scratches...along with the micro goobers of course. The Re-Nu worked the same way, mucho elbow grease and it took off oxidation and perhaps a little paint. Clean rags to finish it off. Have not waxed it yet, but may get even a little more shine out of it. CAVIOT: I believe this is a repaint without clear-coat, so I WOULD NOT recommend this on an original finish with clear coat. Even though the Re-Nu label said that it was safe for clear coat -- directions said to apply like car wax and just wipe off...though I actually buffed it very rigorously. Man these are great cars!
