Clean port on oil sender. Try a new sender?

Rob, some suggestions:
First, pull your oil pressure sender, and make sure crud hasn't gotten into it and made it give false low readings. Clean with solvent, and a toothpick, maybe, gently.
Two, if problem still there, †ry swapping in another known good sender, or buy a new one, I think they're cheap.
If you still get the light, don't run the car without knowing why. ABSOLUTELY measure oil pressure. You can do a temporary under-hood install of a gauge and run some tests on it with engine idling. If it's low it's a problem.
How long since an oil filter change? A heavily used filter can lower pressure enough to make the light flicker.
Any chance raw gas is getting into the oil, thinning it? Smell it, and feel it.
And, finally, the cars seem from what some say to occasionally have oil pressure relief valve problems, from crud jamming things etc. There are lots of discussions of that on here, do a search.
