Up to 1980 or so, there was a distinct difference in the floorpan and the seat mountings for LHD (left-hand drive) and RHD (right-...)cars. In 1981 (IIRC), they standardized the mountings left and right, shifting all the different parts to the seats. From that point, there are two wire hoops at the rear mounting, and on the crossmember there are two captive nuts for the front mounting.
The passenger's seat (right side for LHD cars, left side for RHD) has an allen-head screw at each corner. At the front, they go through the seat rail and into the captive nuts in the crossmember, and at the rear, they go through rail, and the the hoop and into that large threaded washer.
The driver's seat has the hooked things for the vertical seat adjustment that go into the hoops, and the plates that wrap around the top of the crossmember with the holed for the allen head screws.
The biggest issue with swapping is that now you have your adjustments, AND the seatback release (if a 2- or 3-door) on the wrong side of the seat!
