Rebuilding tranny for an 86 SPG. I'm using the Haynes manual, info from FixMySaab, and a Manual Trans Overhaul - Saab 5-Speed Transaxle article text by Mitchell Repair. I have two questions. First, I read about the Saab Manual Transmission Repair Manual. I assume that the Mitchell article text is not the Saab Repair Manual. Can you advise me where I can purchase one? Second, I have the transmission rebuilt to the point I am re-installing the shift shaft and am struggling with how the inner spring aligns with the shift forks. Can anyone help me with where the spring goes?
Thanks,
