Well, it really isn't gases blowing per se, it's the suction from the intake that cause the flow, and only when the hose is unblocked (either connected to head or open to free air) that there is the hissing noise. I don't think there is actual any blow by, as the little brass pill valve in the line is nearly dry, no oily residue inside it at all, even though I have driven this car for over 20,000 km already. I recently visited a friend who has an 8v non turbo car, and his was noticeably quieter than mine. I wish I known back then that this noise was coming from this nipple, I'd had investigated if his was the same as mine.
I am now wondering if I could somehow remove this nipple from the intake manifold, re-route it elsewhere in the intake manifold (picture below shows two holes on the plenum, my nipple is #2), then block this hole. It seems all the nosie is coming from the hole where #2 attaches.
