Its not in the crankcase- no way for it to get there, 1 of two things happen, either the upper radiator hose let loose (the elbow coming right out of the head at the front of the motor, or the lower radiator hose blew. With the miles you have both of these hoses would go.
on the block up under the intake manifold there is what looks to be a notch in the block for a lower radiator hose clamp holder to be screwed into. I never seen the radiator holder attached to the block I`m sure its intention was to stabilize the radiator hose as it travels down the side of the motor then onward to the radiator.
Being this was the intention to have a hose holder located here and it isn't it leaves a protruding metal stump where the screw for the holder would bolt into. this protruding metal will rub a hole in the lower radiator hose with in 200,000 miles letting all radiator fluid escape.
Both of these hoses blew on my car upper went at 210,000 lower went at 250,000 Sound like your motor is fine, it would never have ran so good getting up on the tow truck if something happened.
