Are the combined instrument clusters (tach/speedo/clock/etc) fairly interchangeable? I have one from an '85 turbo that works perfectly (including the odometer!), and I want to install it in my '87 SPG. The tach and odometer in the '87 don't work reliably.
I know the ignition systems between the '85 and '87 are slightly different (the '87 has the pulse relay), but I don't know if the tachs are any different.
I think the Cruise Control is the same for those years, so I'm guessing the speedo (speed transmitter) is interchangeable.
I don't expect there are any differences in the fuel, temp or boost gauges, or any of the warning lights.
Anyone know for sure?
