You have to manually tuck the excess fabric back behind the seat to put the 3-piece boot on. Put the convertible top down as normal, walk to the back of the car and manually lift up the top mechanism and tuck the excess fabric in behind the back seat and let the top fall back into place. The side pieces you hook the underside clip onto the back of the seatbelt housing and then rotate the back side down under the metal retaining strip at the leading edge of the trunk. Then you put the back edge of the center piece in and fold it down against the top of the back seat and hook it in with the rubber retainers. Usually you have to fuss with things a bit to get everything to line up and clip together. Then you open the trunk and let the two dongels fall into the trunk gutter and close the trunk on them. If you install it a lot, it all becomes second nature and can be done pretty quickly. The first few times it will seem like a giant PITA. My LeBaron convertible folds up similarly, but the lowering and tucking instructions are actually in the owner's manual.
Urethane windshield setting compound will work to glue the fabric back on the window.
