Clutch plate with oil on it.....Can that be fixed? Posted by vsfoxe [Email] (#1025) [Profile/Gallery] (more from vsfoxe) on Wed, 17 Apr 2013 23:14:40 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Or does it have to be replaced. Can it be effectively cleaned with Brake Kleen? It slips a little in 3rd gear in my '91 SPG. When I put a full set of Sachs clutch in last year, I also replaced the rear crankshaft seal, using that home made PVC drain pipe tool. Seal was NOT leaking, but I was there, so I replaced it. NEVER should have touched it, since it was not leaking. Even though I was careful to get it to install nice and straight, and to the correct depth, I did something that blew the spring off the crank side of the seal. NEVER should have touched it - now there is oil on the Sachs clutch disc. NUTS! Vern
