Paul,
A bad inner driver/tripod bearing won't usually vibrate while cruising, only while accelerating and will do so when driving straight ahead. (Unlike an outer CV joint which will tend to clatter when turning and regardless of whether accelerating, decelerating or cruising.) If the passenger side was recently done then it's reasonable to assume that it's the driver's side that is causing the vibration now. Either the inner driver itself or the tripod bearing (which fits inside the inner driver) or both can be the culprit. The only way to know is to take it apart and inspect them. The tripod bearing, as the name implies, has three rollers each supported on needle bearings. If any number (even one) needle is broken or escapes from under one of the rollers you will get vibration upon acceleration and the condition worsens with use.
