I really need a 3D holographic image but I'm pretty sure that that is a piece of a guide ring and fourth gear guide ring is the usual suspect. That means that, unless it already has, the fourth gear synchromesh spring is going to get tangled up and then you won't be able to select fourth gear at all. Also, that's a lot of swarf on that magnet. If this is a transmission that you obtained somewhere "condition unknown" my impression from that photo is that it either has serious problems now or will very soon develop some. I could be wrong, but that's what I get from that photo.
