You might want to consider updating the injectors Posted by RS [Email] (#15) [Profile/Gallery] (more from RS) on Sun, 11 Aug 2013 20:19:36 In Reply to: Stock Yellow Tops / 2.5 Bar FPR n/m, Saabina [Profile/Gallery] , Sun, 11 Aug 2013 13:46:10 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
If they're the original injectors, they're at least 20 years old with lots of injection cycles.
I replaced the original stock injectors on my '89 SPG (~240K miles) with a set of blue-top Densos out of a '99 Lincoln. They're slightly higher throughput as stock, but with a better spray pattern. Fully-compatible with the LH series fuel management system, of course. I found that the car gave a bit better overall performance. Whether it's because my old ones were sloppy or the newer ones were better, is a good question.
I saw that you got things back to normal with plugs and cap so maybe it's a moot point.
