I just had the identical problem. I bought a 1993 900 Turbo convertible that had not run in 4 years. Fuel pump was seized and all the rubber pieces in the pump housing had turned to goo.
The bottom piece that goes in the filter housing is not available anywhere. The top mount comes with some of the pump kits (like Airtex).
The "Saab" pumps are ridiculously priced.
I purchased a complete new Professional Parts Sweden pump from eeuroparts for $125. I did some searching on Saabnet and saw a post from eeuroparts that the Scantech pumps had a high rate of return but the Professional Parts Sweden pumps had virtually none.
I can attest that the pump appears to be very well made and is indistinguishable from the factory pump. In fact the pump is so quiet that I thought it was not working when I first put power to it!
The advantage is that you have a completely new pump housing. So even if the pump motor fails in 5 years you will have a relatively new housing to put your replacement pump motor in.
For the price, it is a no brainer.
