Failing fule pump

This sound very similar to when my pump began to fail. I replaced every electrical issue I could find, car would run fine for 5/10 min then start bucking and die. After 2 or mor hours I could get another 5 min of perfect running. It wasn't untill the 4th day into this episode did the fuel pump finally fail totally. Sucks becouse with in those 4 days eveything electrical was replaced to try to solve the problem. Next time it dies check the fuel rail for fuel. Simple easy check wish someone told me this when I was going through it.

The shock you got from the from the wires is normal when they are failing. I had a bio cord wire from a just bought brand new set also shock outside its sheath and had to replace the one wire with an old wire from the previouse set.
By no means plug the vacuum advance in this is for turbo cars and its purpose is to advance the timing of a turbo motor. All turbo motors are retarded to 15degrees timing plugging the advance in corrects the 15degrees to normal idle when the motor goes under boost the advance will start clicking back timing depending on how much psi is hitting into it ,at full boost the motor will be at its full set 15degree redard making the spark plugs fire while the piston is a little lower creating a bigger bang with the excess boost pressure. Pluging in the advance would make your n/a motor over advanced in set timing this would defiantly raise havoc with the motor.
