I think I have one of those hoses harvested from an 89 SPG. Is yours leaking at the present? You could try to chop of the end and push on the hose using a thin film of vasoline. Or, find another short length of the same kind of hose and splice in a piece. Being that it is going bad, I would say other parts of the lines are probably having difficulty surviving the ethanol blend of our current fuel supply. As I recall, that is an overflow tube for when the tank is full, then heat expands the fuel and it purges through that hose into the filler neck, then down into the fill hose line or overflows to the drain that goes to the ground ?
