bill,
You must check the oil and be sure that it's full of oil no more viscous than 10w30 (NO gear oil) and then when driving try pumping the clutch all the way to the floor a few times while in neutral before shifting into second. Clutch problems often masquerade as transmission issues and the fact that those clutch parts were recently replaced doesn't preclude the possibility of a clutch hydraulic system problem. There are defective slave and master cylinders out there and even professional mechanics often fail to bleed the system fully. For a C900 to be on it's third transmission in 90,000 miles is very odd. Something is wrong with that picture. A more detailed description of the shifting problem would also be helpful. There could be a shift linkage or engine stability problem at play.
