I do know Neil at EcoTECH and he is my goto mechanic when I don't have time, space or tools to do it myself. I have already talked with him some about the transmission. I remember your brothers shop but never had need of his services until after he closed/sold it. My 900 is in good enough condition that if I only resolve the transmission issue it will be good for another 5 years but I would like it to be nice and to make it last as long as I can. My dilemma is where on the spectrum between transmission and full interior exterior electro/mechanical restoration do I stop. Easy to spend thousands too much but I love the 900's and this could be my last one :(
I also have a 92 900 turbo parts car in reasonable shape but bad rust at the base of the front suspension, and it shifts rough into 3rd. Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to this thread but I am still ridiculously busy
