Great write up. I would add that I think it helps to turn the front wheels inward on front corner shots (like in the photo) to highlight one of the cool features of these cars -- the wheels. It somehow makes the car look meaner too.

I also look at other's sale photo's and see what backgrounds set the car off best. Hate to say it, but parking in front of some rich guys house (that's not me) or an architectural marvel seems to work for me. Some great outdoor background shots stand out too. Then again, does this distract from the car? Matter of opinion I guess. Also could be that since I wasn't looking to buy a car when looking at photos, then I was just looking for a nice photo altogether, not necessarily a photo that showcased the car.

Hey, get rid of that branch next to the front right wheel too!
