Throttle Position Sensor on LH 2.2 has no effect on Posted by RS [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: 1986 T16- Throttle Pistion sensor??, Flatfronter, Sat, 10 May 2014 11:00:33 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
mixture, it's just there to tell the ECU when the throttle is fully closed and at nearly full-open. Don't mess with it unless there's a problem with high idle when the throttle is closed. (High idle in an LH 2.2 car usually, but not always, means a bad contacts in the TPS microswitches.)
The culprits for running rich are usually
- Leaks between the turbo and the throttle body
- Bad Fuel Pressure Regulator
- Clogged Fuel Pressure Regulator return line
- NTC sensor
- AMM
- Injectors too large for the LH 2.2 ECU to compensate
