Also a small dab on the machined surface that inserts into the pilot bearing. (prevents seizing of the shaft to the inner race if the ball bearings rust and lock up) I've seen this only once and had to break the pilot-bearing-shaft loose by violently accelerating-decelerating under full boost with the clutch pedal depressed the whole time! Car was in a flood, then sat long enough to rust the PB.
