Thank you all. I bought another length of air hose and used the impact wrench. Zipadedoodah...
Just goes to show that like clean living, using the right tool makes life much better.
Now I need to find a steering wheel puller. The nut came off just fine, but that wheel is stuck tight to the shaft.
