It's very simple. Just take a 1/2" nut (I used a 9/16"), loosen the bolts on the PP and stick it under the rivet (inside the three openings in PP) that holds the forged part of the pressure plate. Tighten the bolts down slightly to keep the bolt in place. Then go to the next of the three openings and do the same. Finally, tighten the bots all the way. This takes the pressure off the fingers just as your wedge method would do. I searched the archive extensively before attempting the clutch replacement and did find a photo of the nut in place, but it was buried in there a couple years back.
What is your opinion of the toughness of these components? Specifically the pressure disc? I think I took a small chunk out of the material when it bound on a flywheel pin.
