Thank You RS for the picture and diagram. I pulled back the foam and the RHD plate was bone dry. So that was not the source. It must have been dripping down from the leaky power steering fluid reservoir. Thus I put some hard drying sealant on the seam and hope that solves it. Meanwhile I cut the frayed hoses of the reservoir and retightened; then used some guaranteed power steering stop leak (two bottles) and no more power steering leak. Amen.
Now, as for the water leaks, allow me to back track. I was overconfident. My water leaks were not quite fixed. It rained buckets and there was water on the front floor above both jacking points. Thus I did this: I used plumber's putty on the screws for the hood release screws, and on the carpet retaining screws that hold the retainer in on the front of the door. Water was leaking I think through the bottom screws on the retainer. Did the same to the passenger side and also did screws that held the Engine ECU. Basically I made sure that screws that went through the panel were sealed. One more leak was a strange one. I kept getting a drip of water hitting passenger panel in front of the where the window winding knob would be (mine's electric). Chasing the leak the inner door seal was wet and at such an angle that the water leak came from it. From there is was a mystery. However, upon closer inspection it appeared the top corner of the rubber windshield seal was not sealed. As a result water got underneath, trickled down the A arm inside (not visible from inside the car), and then out the door seal. The leak was bad enough to leak down the door seal, and drip onto the door panel and then drip onto the floor. It would leave a puddle of water. I got some rubber sealant and dabbed it on my finger and put it on the upper corner of the rubber windshield sealer. Now not more water leaks. It took two months to find the leaks. I put the carpets back and in. Happy ending!
