So I got the key housing out and will swap with another from my 87 vert tomorrow. What has me perplexed is if the key got stuck in starting position and toasted the starter why didn't I have power to my wipers, dash fan, windows?
Right before I removed key housing If I put the key in the cylinder and turned it once break lights on dash come on but didn't turn off next turn usually solenoid clicks and tach jumps but that is not happening. No power to fan, window, sunroof... Is that normal with a bad key cylinder or switch. Maybe the switch isn't letting electronics engage to power on.....Saab Stories a plenty here. My 98 9000 at indy due to clutch pedal having to be lifted manually. Hopefully that is the master and not the slave...
