The thing you need to concern yourself with is the pump type / pressure output for the replacement. Cmyles is correct that the later model pumps can fit, but there is no provision in the tank for the pre pump wiring, so you have to modify the tank to allow for the extra two wires on the pre pump for one thing.
Secondly, but more importantly, I'm just making a wild guess that this is a CIS system....if so, then you need to cross reference the Bosch pump part numbers from the 5 door pump part number in the Bosch cross reference, and then make sure the electric pump is a 984 or one of those high pressure type of pumps. The 16 valve pumps don't push the same pressure as the 8 valve pumps, so you have to marry that up so the mechanical injectors can function.
So, granted the pump may fit the tank, and the car might start, but it may not run under load with the lower pressure 16 valve type insert.
I learned all this the hard way......the tough part was dropping the tank and wiring up the pre pump interface.
