Small Outlet Tube Blocked on Coolant Reservoir Bottle

Do you think the small outlet tube being blocked solid on the reservoir bottle that goes to the top left of the radiator could have caused my head to crack? I suspect a big air bubble may have been trapped at the top of then radiator and caused poor cooling of the head. I had to use a small drill bit to get through the blockage which looked like oxidized aluminum.
