I second the zip ties! Posted by Paul K [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Re: Quick Seat Skin Question, turbocon86, Thu, 5 Feb 2015 10:53:45 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Some tips:
Other options for the tool are just using a metal coat hanger.
When removing the clips on the bottom of the seat you can end up breaking the plastic housing/tubing for the electric seat motors (or it might already be broken), if this happens goto home depot and buy PVC tubing to go on the outside of the housing so the electric seats continue to work.
When putting the bottom seat skin back on it will be extremely difficult to fish through the hooks, you can use wire or small chains to get the hooks past the foam where you can grab them with a tool.
For the seat back it will be extremely difficult to fish through the hooks here as well because you can only feel around and cant actually see anything, I choose to use heavy duty zip ties here. Its working well so far, I also went this route because the prior owner messed with the seats and some of the hooks were already missing.
