I`m probably replacing rear springs in the not too distant future. I`ve read of real difficulties with bolt removal doing this by the Bentley method, where the spring link is lowered at the rear. Is it possible to attempt this by removong the 2 locating bolts at the front of the spring link - these go up into the body & will be less likely to be rusted in. Bentley cautions about this with a `personal injury` warning, but if the front of the spring link was securely held in the cup of a floor jack might it be possible?
Any advice gratefully received!
Thanks, Julian
