Did the shifter in the 1993 have a metal case/ball and the 1988 a plastic ball with a stamped steel keeper with the three screws?
The metal ones have a bit better feel to them, but in the case where they don't work at all, whether it's plastic or unobtanium, the fact that it works is wonderful. The BEAST is alive....
So, speaking of BEAST.....I spent the weekend in Scottsdale and saw the 1993 Indy 500 winner that Emerson Fittipaldi named "The BEAST" as it had some 1100 horsepower.....a book just came out about the project, a fascinating story.
