Vacuum leaks Posted by RS [Email] ![]() ![]() ![]() In Reply to: Erratic Idle and Stalling- my strategy, Brian, Mon, 27 Apr 2015 11:20:42 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
Idle issues in 900Ts are usually related to vacuum leaks. If you haven't done so already, replace your vacuum hoses and replace the rubber bushings that hold the vacuum nipples into the intake manifold and PCV nipple into the valve cover.
This also includes checking the large PCV hose for cracks and replacing it (if you can find one) or fixing them.
Do this before you spend the bucks to replace the AMM.
The issue of the car turning itself off may be related to the ignition module on the inner fender across from the APC box being on its way out or the Hall Effect sensor in the distributor getting heat soaked and failing.
