If you still have the knee bolster out, you should have enough room to see where the cable is attached to the gas pedal. Unfortunately I don't have a 900 that's disassembled enough to post a picture of how it goes together.
Could you post a picture of the bracket on the throttle body to show how the adjustment collar is attached to the bracket and how far the cable extends towards the throttle bellcrank?
