I've posted on this several times. I've replaced the o-rings on a couple dozen OE slaves. Not had a problem. They are are a very snug fit with new rings. I've been involved with two aftermarket slaves. One started leaking almost as soon as it was installed. The other lasted a few thousand miles before it blew. The one that leaked right away was a very loose fit even with new o-rings. On the second one I just sent the guy a rebuilt OE slave. The internal sliding piston is steel on the OE slaves. I've had them apart and the components lying around. It seems to be quite resistant to rusting.
