Didn't get a chance to get my eyeballs on the lock in my car's hatch today - maybe tomorrow morning.
Honda lock cylinders are _too_ the same. By and large. I mean, the differences are all semantic really. One's got a big free metal snap ring, one's got a little captive plastic one. They all snap, they're all rings. Semantics. Pins/tumblers get pushed up by a key. Not many ways to deviate from the norm. Newer Hondas have split tumbler pins that have problems with alignment, causing them to get stuck and sheer off, binding the locks. Talk about quirky. Most locksmiths 'round here just force the lock open and charge you $200. I had to fix one for a bridesmaid the day after my wedding because she couldn't leave!
I have given up telling people I have a Saab unless I absolutely need to. I tell people I have a BMW or a Volvo or a Triumph or even a Peugeot and they give me a lot less crap about it.
